About
These days, I spend most of my time teaching, researching, and spending time with my fiancé. We live in Houston, Texas.
I was born and raised in Miami, FL, and am the youngest of two sons of political refugees from Nicaragua. I stayed local for my BA (2015), attending Florida International University, where I double-majored in Political Science/Philosophy and worked a bunch of odd jobs, including a rewarding 4-year stint in college radio. Upon graduation, I left home for the first time and moved to Philadelphia to enroll in Villanova University’s Philosophy PhD program. I completed an MA in philosophy on the way (2018). I defended my PhD in 2024, having received several awards and research grants. Villanova wrote an article about me and my work that you can read here.
When time allows, I enjoy running, my devices or instruments, and going to concerts and museums. I’m also an avid supporter of one English football team and one American football team: Arsenal FC and the Philadelphia Eagles. I am at my happiest when I’m enjoying or discussing music, art, technology, film, and, of course, philosophy.
